Aliya

Aliya is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with over a decade of experience in the mental health field. As a South Asian woman and former college athlete, she is passionate about breaking down barriers and normalizing therapy—particularly within communities where mental health support is often stigmatized or misunderstood.

Aliya brings a trauma-responsive, attachment-based approach to her work, offering compassionate and culturally informed care to clients from all walks of life. With a strong background in athletic performance and mental wellness, she specializes in supporting athletes in navigating the complexities of identity, transition, and performance pressure.

Her counselling philosophy is rooted in the belief that healing takes place through relationships—whether with oneself, others, or the world. Aliya creates a non-judgmental and collaborative environment where clients feel seen, supported, and empowered to create meaningful change.
